One problem or one topic of discussion in our society is that teenager love to drink…
The government wants more strict control in the pubs or shops so that we can’t buy alcohol. But is that realistic? I don’t think so, because the department can’t control every pub and some sales persons only want to sale their products! For me, it is no problem to buy alcohol! Sometimes, they look to my face and ask me: „Are you 18 years old?” I say: „Yes, sure!” They believe thus and it is no problem for me! The party can start ;-)
A lot of people think, that only young people, who live in Neukölln or something like that, where young people have no perspectives at all for a safe job that they drink too much, but that isn’t true! Also teenager, who live in
Zehlendorf drink too much too! I think the problem is stress in school or at home or a wrong circle of friends who laugh if you drink nothing! I think that is very bad and they aren’t good friends! I know a girl who drinks nothing but for my friends and me, that’s no problem!
Another part of the problem is that adults wouldn’t understand why young people drink! Sometimes I ask myself, wouldn’t the politicians see the reasons it or are they really too ignorant. The self is valid for the any other adults! In Germany the sexual education is very good, but about alcohol, nothing! Not at school and not at home! I think that’s a big problem! When we were little children, we always saw that if it was a nice day, friends would be over or there was a reason to celebrate, the adults drank! In some countries, the parents say to her children, “Hey, it can be very dangerous if you drink too much! You can die!” When we were little, they said: “No beer or something like that for you! It’s only for the parents, for adults!”  Now we are young adults and we drink. The society tolerates it, only if a young people drink too much, then all adults don’t understand it. We must make our experiences and sometimes, if the person has had a bad day and there are the wrong people around, the situation can get out of control, like it happened with Lukas. That’s very sad! But not only young people have changed their attitude to alcohol, the society, too!
I spoke with my father about the problems alcohol might cause. But I think in some families is not commen to speak about that topic.
